About Black Women's Network

Black Women's Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1979, is a beacon in the business community offering a nonpartisan environment for Networking & Mentoring Urban Women in Business, Career, Personal and Professional Development.

Black Women's Network (BWN) was formed in March 1979 as the result of the energy of the Black women who attended a regional career conference in Downtown, Los Angeles, California.

We believe in Networking - Networking as the vital linking of people with people and people with services.

We support the growth and development of Black Women in general and especially in their businesses & careers. We believe we're all in the business of living our best lives, as well as the professionals and entrepreneurs among us.

Black Women's Network serves to enhance communication between black women, to encourage achievement, and further the economic and personal success of black women and their families inside and outside our organization because of Americas history and continued culture of racism, oppression and injustice in communities of color.
