About Jack and Jill of America Inc., Manassas-Woodbridge Chapter

A group of concerned and trailblazing mothers came together in late summer 2003to discuss how to move their children forward and make the aims and goals of Jack and Jill of America a reality in the lives of their children. Special thoughts and consideration were given to the potential challenges of member stabilization due to changing demographics combined with high rates of transitional families in the Prince William County area; related to government jobs and military assignments. Despite this consideration, forward progress and determination were the guiding force for these mothers. Subsequently on January 24, 2004, the Manassas, Woodbridge, VA Chapter (MWVC) was chartered at the National Headquarters Building in Washington, D.C.

Jack and Jill of America, Inc., is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 – 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.
