About Jack & Jill of America, Inc. South Belt Houston Chapter
Our Chapter comprises moms primarily in Pearland and Manvel, both of which are southeast of Houston, Texas. Our chapter was chartered in 1992, and we are one of 32 chapters in the South Central Region of Jack and Jill.
The aims of Jack and Jill are simple:
To create a medium of contact for children which will stimulate growth and development.
To provide children a constructive educational, cultural, health, recreational and social program.
To aid mothers in learning more about their children by careful study.
To seek for all children the same advantages which we desire for our own.
To support all national legislation aimed at bettering the conditions of all children.
Our South Belt Houston Chapter mothers, associates and children ages 2 to 20 are engaged throughout the year in activities intended to nurture our children and help them gracefully evolve as future African-American leaders.
Through structured programming activities we provide for our children, we help them develop and enhance leadership skills, involve them in volunteer service, and expose them to educational and cultural experiences.
In Jack and Jill, our children and our mother members build lifelong friendships, and our families become a rich, resourceful village of support and encouragement for one another.
