About National Association of Black Accountants Greater Miami-South Florida Chapter
NABA is the premier professional association for developing and promoting greater participation by African-Americans and other minorities in the accounting and finance professions. We are excited you have taken this opportunity to learn about our organization and the innovative activities happening within NABA.
Through the collective efforts of approximately twenty black accountants, the Greater Miami Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants was organized in September, 1975. The primary impetus behind the formation of the Chapter was a desire to provide avenues to increase minority interest in the accounting profession and to encourage professional development while stimulating community awareness.
Our Goals
Promote and develop the professional skills of all of its members. Encourage and assist students in entering the accounting profession. Provide opportunities for members to fulfill their civic responsibilities. Promote public confidence to our members and their services. Represent the interests of current and prospective accounting/business professionals. Ensure long-term financial stability and provide adequate resources to implement chapter, regional, and national programs
The mission of NABA is to address the professional needs that enable African-Americans to maximize their career potential in the accounting profession. NABA is dedicated to uniting accountants and other business professionals as well as accounting/business students with similar interests and ideas who are committed to professional and academic excellence.
