About National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Ohio Chapter

The Central Ohio Chapter was chartered in September 2011 with 35 African American women from various parts of Central Ohio including Franklin, Fairfield, Licking and Delaware counties that believe in the national mission of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, which was founded in 1981 to develop a leadership forum for African American women. The organization began with representatives from 14 states and the District of Columbia. Jewell Jackson McCabe was selected as the first national president.

​Our mission: To advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment. We believe in gender equity, inclusion, respect, racial and social justice, integrity and accountability, economic empowerment and collaboration.
