About San Jose Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc.

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a nationwide African-American organization of mothers who nurture future leaders by strengthening children ages 2-19 through chapter programming, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.

Jack and Jill is comprised of over 225 chapters in seven geographic regions, encompassing 35 states and the District of Columbia.

​

The San Jose Chapter was first established in 1967 as the San Jose Mother’s Club of Jack and Jill, Inc. Our Chapter was formally approved at the National Jack and Jill Convention in July, 1968, and became the 12th chapter in the Far West Region.



There are over 40 mother-members and Associates of the San Jose Chapter, dedicated to building future African-American leaders. We emphasize the importance of family and extended family relationships, black history, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.

We seek for ALL children the same advantages we desire for our own, and believe every child, with proper guidance and opportunity, can be a leader.
